The locally owned LJ Hooker team has once again dug deep to support the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation. The Toowoomba Hospital Foundation supports the community by helping to improve local health facilities and services at the Toowoomba HospitalBaillie Henderson Hospital and Mt Lofty Heights Nursing Home. The Foundation recently celebrated 27 years of service to the  community.

Over the past two decades the LJ Hooker team have held fundraising lunches, race days and golf days to raise funds for the Toowoomba Hospital. LJ Hooker Toowoomba Principal and Group Auctioneer, Mike Stewart said that the staff have loved giving back to the community. “Working with the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation over the last 20 years has been a rewarding experience. Our staff love joining in and it is exciting to be able to give back to the community in such a meaningful way.”

The latest donation to the Toowoomba Hospital has been raised as a result of recent fundraising activities and totalled more than $10,819. The money has been used to purchase five Viva Medicate Carts for the Oncology Day Unit which enable staff to easily manoeuvre around the ward and allow for greater efficiency when treating chemotherapy patients.

Toowoomba Hospital Foundation CEO, Alison Kennedy says that the team at LJ Hooker have been a huge support. “Without the help of our mates like LJ Hooker, the Foundation won’t be able to support the efforts of the hard working doctors and nurses at the Toowoomba Hospital,” said Alison.
