Equestrian Queensland hosted the Queensland Interschool State Championships at the Toowoomba Showgrounds during the weekend of 7 July.

Over the course of three days, more than 4o equestrian schools attended and showcased their skills in a variety of disciplines. These included dressage, showman, showhorse and showjumping.

The Glennie Equestrian team arrived with an entourage of parents, coaches and supporters. Made up of 16 competitors, The Glennie Equestrian team continually showed their determination throughout the weekend.

Demonstrating their extensive skill sets, the Glennie riders were awarded the Secondary Showman Champion Team trophy.

“All girls are to be commended on their skill and sportsmanship in the face of tough competition,” said Glennie School Equestrian Coordinator, Miss Jacky Redman.

As well as this the team was awarded, Secondary Showman Reserve Champions, Secondary Dressage Reserve Champions and placed third in showjumping and showhorse.

Continuing on a winning streak, this is the fifth year Glennie riders have placed at the Queensland Interschool State Championships.

The Glennie Equestrian team aims to achieve, improve and have fun while building team spirit.

With a bright future ahead, Glennie riders are now focusing on upcoming events including combined training and eventing to take place later this month.
