With Mother’s Day fast approaching on May 12, it’s time to start thinking about what you are going to give that special woman in your life.
Grand Central Centre Manager Kathleen Hart said with more than 200 specialty stores in-centre, you will be spoiled for choice when picking the perfect gift for Mum. “It may be her favourite make-up or skincare products, her signature fragrance, homewares items, or some beautiful jewellery – whatever it is, we’ve got you covered,” she said. “Retailers such as Swarovski, Pandora, Prouds, Peter Alexander, The Body Shop and many more have Mother’s Day gift selections to celebrate that special mother figure in your life, whether that be your mum, your grandmother, your stepmother, your mother-in-law, or even a close family friend.”
Salvation Army volunteers will be in-centre in the lead-up to Mother’s Day to help wrap your gifts for a small donation. Drop into the Gift Wrap Booth on Level 1 near Myer and Swarovski on May 4 and 5 or May 9 and 11 to get your gift beautifully wrapped. Hart said Harper Bee are also hosting Mother’s Day workshops at their store on Level 2 of the centre in the lead up to Mother’s Day. “Children can make a beautiful handmade gift for Mum at one of the Harper Bee workshops. On May 4 they can make her a luxurious lavender bath salt, or on May 11 create a relaxing peppermint foot soak for mum,” she said. “Passiontree Velvet are also doing a Mother’s Day High Tea on May 12 which is a lovely way to celebrate her day.”
