Celebrate local producers, artists and the beautiful autumn weather on May 15 at the vibrant, annual Hampton Festival.
Set amidst rolling pastures and native forests, Hampton is framed amongst one of prettiest landscapes of Queensland. Famous for its prime pastures and natural surrounds, it has become a thriving hub for both farming and the arts. The 2016 festival will be a celebration of the unique combination of local produce and arts. Hampton Festival organisers are very excited to announce the headline celebrity chef for this year, Hayden Quinn! The popular TV identity and former MasterChef contestant lives by the motto ‘live life, eat well, travel far’. With this in mind, he has authored a number of cookbooks that feature energy and flavour packed recipes, inspired by his travels and a laidback surfing lifestyle. The popular celebrity chef, who was also named Cleo Bachelor Of The Year in 2012, will head to Hampton in May to share his love for quality produce, retro dishes, street food flavours and much more.
An artistic program featuring demonstrating artists, petit canvases and sensational live music will create a dynamic atmosphere for the day, while the annual Hampton Art Exhibition will display the finest work by local artists.
Headlining the live music program will be Brisbane’s The View from Madeleine’s Couch and the bluesy country wanderings and edgy bluegrass style of Jed Rowe from Melbourne. The Festival program also features cooking demonstrations, artist demonstrations, local produce, food and wine stalls and children’s activities. The ever popular Community Produce Stall and Festival Marketplace will be stocked with an array of fresh produce, delectable treats and artisan goods to use in your kitchen at home.
