As a customer-owned bank, Heritage has a proud history of working hard for its customers and that focus has been recognised with this national accolade. Heritage Bank CEO Peter Lock says he is proud Heritage topped the list for customer satisfaction, beating out all other Australian banks including the big four. “We are thrilled to take out the Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Awards title of Bank of the Year,” Lock said. “At Heritage, our top priority is to give our customers great value and a great experience. Unlike the listed banks, our goal is not to make huge profits to pay big dividends to shareholding investors. Our customers are our owners, and we retain all the profits we make, so it is rewarding and validating that they think so highly of the products and services they receive from Heritage. This award is largely a result of the passion and dedication shown every day by our staff, so I would like to thank and congratulate my colleagues on helping Heritage win this award.”
