Heritage Bank has announced the winners of its 2014 Photographic Awards in a special presentation at University of Southern Queensland (USQ) in Toowoomba last night.  See who was there …

Sydney photographer David Psaila won the open section with his photograph “Black Sand Beach”, while fellow New South Wales entrant Troy Sinclair won the “People first” themed section with his entry “Waiting”. The CEO’s Choice award went to Chatswood photographer Fariyanti Fariyanti for “Love”.

Now in its 26th year, Heritage Bank CEO Mr John Minz said the competition’s continued success was amazing. “The calibre of the entries has been outstanding and the judges have had a tough time choosing the top 50 photographs from the 1400 entries,” Mr Minz said. “It’s really brought home what a valued competition this is with so much talent and enthusiasm from entrants as young as seven on display.”

The top 50 images are now on display in an exhibition at the USQ Arts Gallery in Toowoomba until 3 September 2014 and can also be viewed on Heritage’s website at www.heritage.com.au/photocomp.aspx
