The annual Heritage Bank Charity Golf Day has raised more than $900,000 over its 23-year history following this monthโ€™s event at Toowoombaโ€™s City Golf Club!

About 120 members of the business community took on the City Golf Club course and the heat on Friday 4 December to raise money for some incredible community organisations.ย Thanks to the generosity of players, sponsors and event supporters, about $70,000 was raised at this yearโ€™s event. This takes the total amount raised for numerous community groups over 23 years of the event to more than $900,000.

Heritage Bank CEO Peter Lock said, โ€œWe absolutely love supporting the communities in which we operate and the Heritage Bank Charity Golf Day has grown into a fantastic way for us to contribute to the important work done by some amazing community organisations,โ€ he said. โ€œThe event is a great way to bring together some incredibly generous businesses, sponsors and people for a wonderful cause, and enjoy a nice round of golf at the magnificent City Golf Club.

โ€œThe funds raised will go to some outstanding community groups to help fund the important work they do improving the lives of others.ย โ€œRaising more than $900,000 over the history of the Heritage Charity Golf Day is an extremely proud achievement for Heritage and I canโ€™t wait until next yearโ€™s event as we push towards the remarkable $1 million milestone.โ€ Early next year Heritage will announce the beneficiary organisations and hold a special event presenting the donations to recipients.
