Kmart Grand Central launched its Wishing Tree Appeal with founding charity partner The Salvation Army.  This will be the 32nd year that the Kmart Wishing Tree Appeal has run. The appeal will again support children, adults, seniors and families who are unable to afford gifts at Christmas. This year, the appeal is inviting the community to come together and contribute just $1 during their shopping trips. This can collectively make a significant difference to those in need by helping to lift the financial burden during Christmas.

Shoppers can choose to contribute by taking a bauble off of the Wishing Tree in-store and scanning the barcode  at the register or dropping a coin in the collection box at any register. Shoppers can also choose to purchase a practical gift and leave it under the Wishing Tree in-store. Gift contributions will be accepted until Christmas Eve, and financial contributions until January 31.
