Local businesswoman Kristy Richardson and owner of art workshop business Kreate It, will be hosting a Flower Fun Day on Saturday 21 September from 9am to 2pm at the Toowoomba Bowls Club.

Offering two separate times, including 9am to 11am and 12pm to 2pm, art lovers attending the exclusive workshops with Kristy Richardson from Kreate It will unleash their creative abilities. With a record response to her workshops in recent months, Richardson’s classes have been an immediate sell-out. “This event is going to be everything flowers,” said Richardson. “The Carnival of Flowers is my favourite time of year and I’m so excited to incorporate both art and flowers for this wonderful event. I hope to see everyone there.”

The event will encompass painting workshops, a fresh flower market from a local florist, an art market featuring Richardson’s artworks, free face painting and much more. Prizes and giveaways will be on offer for those in attendance, and anyone can attend the event, regardless of whether they are attending the workshop or not.

The 70th Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers will descend on the regional city with a sea of colour from 20 to 29 September, with some 180,000 bulbs and seedlings all nurtured to bloom perfectly to welcome some 250,000 fans of this extraordinary event. As part of the 70th anniversary celebration, a special display of memorabilia from the past seven decades will be curated in Toowoomba City Hall.
