Celebrate Spring in the Lockyer Valley at the Laidley Spring Festival from Thursday 12 September to Saturday the 14th. With 14 venues and events from which to choose, the 2019 Laidley Spring Festival will be one to remember. Under the festival theme of Australian Flora and Fauna, the eclectic Laidley shopping precinct will bloom with a window dressing competition. Shop windows throughout the town will be colourful and eye catching, so be sure to vote for your favourite display.
On Thursday, Friday and Saturday, visit the Quilt and Craft Expo, Spring Orchid Show, the Botanical Cafe with its unique displays and stalls by the Laidley Garden Club, and church displays at the Laidley Uniting Church, Laidley Anglican Church and Laidley Lutheran Church. Visitors can wander back in time at the historic museum, markets and cafe at Das Neumann Haus, as well as take in displays, demonstrations and activities at the Laidley Pioneer Village and Museum. Add pop-up cafes, markets galore and music to the Spring Festival program and there really will be something for everyone.
Saturdayβs free Family Fun Day will feature a Colour Run, Show βnβ Shine, entertainment by the Australian Eagles Band Tribute Show and the Larrikin Puppet Show. A highlight of the program will be the annual Spring Festival Grand Parade down Patrick Street, which kicks off at 10am on Saturday. A free shuttle bus will operate during the festival, so making your way around the venues and entertainment will be a breeze. Most venues are free, but an entry fee does apply to the Spring Orchid Show ($3) and Quilt and Craft Expo ($5).
