When Chrystal Henry started selling her handmade designs at her local country markets in 2008 she never expected to one day rule a children’s clothing empire.

Creator of the popular baby and children’s clothes brand Love Henry, and with her unique pieces already featured in over 200 kids clothing boutiques nation-wide, Chrystal has now opened another store in Toowoomba on Wednesday, 29 March, entirely devoted to showcasing her label.

Chrystal started Love Henry as a way to feed her creative passion, after ending her career as a bridal designer in 2007. What started off as a one-man show, where Chrystal handmade each individual piece, has now turned into one of Australia’s largest baby and kids clothing brands.

Since launching her first Love Henry line in 2010, the mum of three and entrepreneur has grown her niche children’s clothing business considerably.

Offering special occasion and interesting everyday garments for little boys and girls all over Australia, Love Henry’s trademark ‘look’ is characterised by its vintage prints and classic, elegant designs.

Grown in Chrystal’s hometown of Goondiwindi, Love Henry offers unique, country-inspired clothing for babies and children from newborn to size eight. With fabrics, textures and soft colours reminiscent of country Toowoomba living, the new boutique is sure to feel right at home at Grand Central Shopping Centre.

“We are so excited to open in Grand Central and cannot wait to share the Love Henry love with Toowoomba! We have had a high demand for the brand so we are glad to be able to service the Darling Downs area with our very own store showcasing our entire range,” says Chrystal.

Those who popped in for a visit on the day of the launch received off store-wide,

and balloons were handed out to keep little hands occupied. Shoppers who couldn’t make it needn’t fret either, with a $200 Love Henry voucher up for grabs for those who spend over $50 in the store’s first week of operating.

Love Henry’s latest winter range will be lining the new store’s shelves, with next seasons summer collection already designed and ready to go. It’s expected that being a Mum and entrepreneur can be a challenging task at times, but Chrystal seems well-equipped for the task.

“It has been difficult to keep up, just when I think I have things under control, the dynamics of the business changes. However, I love where it is heading,” says Chrystal.

Toowoomba will be among the first of what is expected to be a long line of Love Henry shops, if Chrystal’s clothing empire continues to expand at the same rate.
