The classic Shakespearean tragedy Macbeth opened on Thursday 9 May at the University of Southern Queensland’s Arts Theatre, featuring a cast of 10 USQ creative arts students. The 400-year-old play explored on a heroic scale the tale of personal moral dilemma, unbridled personal ambition and eventual death and destruction of a Scottish soldier-king. USQ lecturer and director of the 2019 USQ rendition Scott Alderdice hoped to breathe new life into the work by bringing a little something for everyone to enjoy.
