Hosted by Toowoomba’s local boutique real estate agent Blackbird and Finch, the Mailbox Competition will engulf the city in a floral essence. Businesses, tenants, homeowners and schools within the region will enjoy the floral brigade of spring across the Downs. Whether a floral genius or a little green-thumb challenged, the competition has a variety of prizes on offer.

First prize includes a spring makeover valued at $2000 donated by Blackbird and Finch, The Pestman QLD, SplitAir Klean, Platinum Electricians Toowoomba and many more local businesses. Second prize is a Hampton-style mailbox donated by Urban Farmhouse, to be installed by Three Little Pigs Construction. Entries are currently open and close on 9 September, with details to be found on Toowoomba Mailboxes.

The Toowoomba Mailbox Competition coincides with the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers from 20 to 29 September 2019. The Grand Central Floral Parade is one of Toowoomba’s favourite events of the year. Performers, carnival characters and roving entertainment take to the streets to escort the floral floats on a journey through the heart of the city. The Heritage Bank Food and Wine Festival and foodie experiences are perfect for the adults, with lots of fun activities for the kids too. The Toowoomba region will be blooming this September with an abundance of floral activities for all ages.
