Long-standing regional accounting firm, McConachie Stedman has celebrated the official opening of their newly renovated office located in the heart of Toowoomba.
In March 2024, McConachie Stedman relocated to their newly renovated office premises at 160 Hume Street, Toowoomba following two decades at their previous location. On Wednesday 24 July 2024, the firm celebrated the official opening of its newly renovated building with invited guests and team members.
The event included a ribbon cutting ceremony officiated by Mayor Geoff McDonald, who formally opened the building, marking a significant milestone and new chapter for the local accounting firm. “It was my great honour to assist in celebrating this milestone of opening the new Toowoomba office. McConachie Stedman have contributed a significant investment at 160 Hume Street with local builder Newlands Group doing a stellar job,” said Mayor McDonald.
Founded in 1948 by John F McConachie and joined by Bruce Stedman in 1969, McConachie Stedman commemorates its 76th year in business and continues to honour its legacy with the move to the new premises. “We’ve come a long way since our humble beginnings at the McLeod’s Building in Ruthven Street in 1948, our time in Duggan Street from 1977, and our two decades at 619 Ruthven Street from 2004,” said Ben Horner, Director at McConachie Stedman.
