Flying Arts Alliance, Queensland’s arts and cultural development organisation is giving supporters the opportunity to become part of its inaugural Flying Squad.
By joining the Squad members can directly contribute to the work of Flying Arts and support arts and cultural development in regional and remote Queensland.
This innovative new fundraising campaign is the brainchild of the CEOof Flying Arts Stephen Clark who is hoping that the initiative will capture the hearts and minds of arts supporters across Queensland.
“Like all small to medium arts organisations we are facing the challenges of staying aloft,” he said. “And the Flying Squad is a fun yet valuable way our supporters can help us to continue to deliver valuable arts and cultural services to regional and remote Queensland communities”.
Flying Arts began flying arts services to regional Queensland in the 1970’s, inspired by the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
Since then it has supported arts and cultural development throughout Queensland, making lasting connections with three generations of Queenslanders.
Its work provides much needed support to distant and isolated artists, art educators, students, young people and community groups.
The Flying Squad is a part of the Flying Arts Giving Program, Art4Life and contributions are tax deductible. Supporters can join the Squad at www.flyingsquad.org.au.
