Adapt (Formerly Young Bruthas Mentorship) creates youth and community projects to promote purpose and connection. Utilising the funding of Regional Arts Services Network (Empire Theatre) we are excited to bring Fintan back up the range to create a mural for Oakey.

With the addition of a mural painted by an internationally renowned artists Fintan Magee, it will bring fresh energy to the space and connects the community through a landmark and the many

other proven benefits such as opportunities for tourism, community pride, inclusiveness and extensive news and media coverage to highlight regional towns.

“Fintan Magee is a Sydney based social realist painter, specializing in large-scale murals.Fintan is world renowned and his murals are found all over the world including in London, Vienna, Los Angeles, Miami, Atlanta, Buenos Aires, Copenhagen, Moscow, Rome, Jordan, and Dublin among others.

Fintan painted the much-loved Elephant mural in Toowoomba and is excited to be back to brighten the library wall of Oakey. Magee’s work is driven by his recognition of the power of murals to communicate social viewpoints to unite communities.
