With ‘Powerful Partnerships’ as the company maxim, Ostwald Bros has nurtured strong relationships with communities and business partners throughout the region. They are proud of the infrastructure projects they have delivered but even prouder of the fact that these iconic developments connect and support people across the Darling Downs and beyond.
From vital roads and highways to flood levees and energy infrastructure, Ostwald Bros has played a significant role in shaping the region over the past 24 years. Starting operations as a civil construction company, Ostwald Bros has grown exponentially to become the diverse and wide-ranging Ostwald Bros Group – a market-leading contractor to the resource and infrastructure sectors providing civil contracting, mining, construction materials, transport, accommodation and facilities management, and rural services.
From its base in Dalby, the company operates across Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia and employs more than 1000 people. Ostwald Bros’ dedication to safe practice earned statewide recognition as winner of the Queensland Major Contractors Association (QMCA) 2014 Queensland Project Excellence Award. Ongoing staff training is central to business success and ensures career opportunities for regional communities.
Dalby school student and Ostwald Bros trainee diesel fitter Gemma Hartwig (pictured) is part of a large team who maintain the company’s vast fleet of Caterpillar plant and equipment at its modern workshop facilities in Dalby. Gemma’s hard work and commitment won her the school based Apprentice of the Year title at this year’s Queensland Training Awards. She is one of the many regionally based workers whose dedication is strengthening Ostwald Bros’ capacity to deliver.
With a reputation for always delivering on its promise of quality, Ostwald Bros will undoubtedly continue to shape the future of the Darling Downs for years to come.
