Vision Splendid Outback Film Festival (VSOFF) held its opening night at the Winton Royal Open Air Theatre on Friday 29 June. The evening kicked off with the screening of In Like Flynn, a sneak preview of the highly anticipated film starring Aussie talent Thomas Cocquerel. Both Thomas and co-producer James M Vernon joined the party to celebrate the incredible story of Errol Flynn on his rise to fame. The night also paid homage to the outback Australian cinema, which celebrates its 100th Anniversary at the festival. Following the film, attendees headed to the North Gregory Hotel’s Banjo Beer Garden, with a special performance from Indigenous female blues writer and performer Marlene Cummins.
