We sat down with McConachie Stedman Director Mick Harding to find out what he likes most about the Downs region.
What do you like most about the Downs region?
Toowoomba is a great place to live. We are large enough that we have access to the big city lifestyle and small enough that we also enjoy a sense of closeknit community. It is a wonderful community, which is diverse in its nature and its opportunities.
Who inspires you?
Todd Sampson. I attended a leadership conference a while back and had the opportunity to hear from him. Todd spoke about being brave for five more seconds and how those additional moments can help you overcome self doubt and achieve things you never thought you could.
Favourite foodie haunt in the Downs region?
There are so many great options in and around Toowoomba for foodies, but my most regular haunt is probably Encores.
This Spring, I will be spending more time …
Mountain bike riding. A couple of years back I started riding. Now I like to get out whenever I have the time and go to Hidden Vale, Jubilee or Nerang with my bike.
The best way to unwind after a busy week?
My wife Linda and I have built ourselves a beautiful home and we just love to relax on the deck with family, friends and a couple of drinks on the weekend.
Ultimate holiday destination?
I am looking forward to getting out and travelling around Australia in the caravan. I would like to head down to the Barossa Valley with my wife, then Tasmania and head back up the east coast.
