The Dalby Wheatmen, along with their faithful band of supporters made the trek to Dirranbandi on Saturday 21 June to take on the St George Frillnecks in the Round 10 match of the Risdon Cup Rugby Union Competition.
The Wheatmen team truly appreciates the support they receive wherever they play. The Frillnecks are in the middle of a cracking season sitting fourth on the Risdon Cup ladder. The Dalby boys left town under no illusion as to the difficulty of the task ahead of them. They came from far and wide for the round 10 match and Dalby came away as victors 24-14.
The game was held in Dirranbandi, a further 100km from St George. Dirranbandi is the heartland of rugby in the Balonne region, and this was reflected in the huge crowd that turned up at the Dirranbandi State School.
