Australian rock legend Daryl Braithwaite will repeat his annual Moonee Valley Cox Plate performance at Clifford Park this year with a full concert on Saturday 29 December.

Toowoomba Turf Club will say farewell to 2018 with Daryl performing live inside the Clive Berghofer Grande Atrium straight after the final local race. Toowoomba Turf Club Chief Executive Blair Odgers said the club was delighted to bring Daryl back to Toowoomba. “Daryl Braithwaite is a stalwart of Australian music – he’ll be singing all the crowd favourites. Everyone that loves our sport loves Daryl’s annual performance at Moonee Valley for the Cox Plate – we can’t wait to hear the crowd singing along to ‘The Horses’,” Blair said.

The concert will kick off after the last local race on the night. Guests attending the concert also have the opportunity to enjoy the evening’s race program with a three-hour canape function inside the Clive Berghofer Grande Atrium (featuring a grazing menu, private bar and amenities). Tickets must be purchased for this event. All pre-purchased tickets, for general admission or the canape function, will go into the draw for a meet-and-greet with Daryl for four people on the night. The winner will be announced on Clifford Park Facebook page on Friday 21 December.

The Clifford Park Farewells 2018 event is part of the 2018/19 Summer Racing Series, thanks to Furneys Stockfeeds, and will be the Club’s last meeting until Saturday 25 January.
