For the first time Grand Central’s Retail Galleria is featuring children’s fashion on the centre’s two-metre-high digital runway screens.

Grand Central’s marketing manager Marieke Bridgeman says local children will feature in the regular fashion shoots. “Most of the kids featured on the runway are from Toowoomba, and they did an amazing job. Our team had such fun dressing them in the latest children’s looks and watching them strut the runway!”

The children were dressed in clothing, shoes and accessories from Grand Central retailers Cotton On Kids, Seed Heritage, Love Henry, Country Road, Myer, Platypus, Kmart, Sportsgirl, Target, R.M.Williams, Shoe Warehouse, and Smiggle. In addition to this, Mecca Maxima helped to style the children before they hit the runway. Local production company Thru a Lens Media once again shot the footage for Grand Central’s digital runway.

When looking at how to dress your fashionable youngster, Grand Central have given some tips. For the boys, try this season’s long sleeve checkered shirts over a graphic t-shirt with a pair of jeans or chinos. Of course boys like sneakers with everything, but do not overlook a pair of boots. For a special event, and the ultimate cool guy style, swap out the traditional shirt and consider a blazer for your little man.

For the girls, have fun with fairy dresses, unicorn headbands and gumboots that reveal stripy socks! Layering is still the way to go for minis, denim jackets, and tutus over denim. Finally, not all girls want to wear dresses, so invest in different shades of denim and have a good selection of short and long sleeve tees on hand.
