There was certainly a lot of “Happy Talk” from delighted audiences after seeing Rodgers and Hammerstein’s South Pacific recently performed at the Empire Theatre by students from Fairholme College and Toowoomba Grammar School.

Audiences were transported back to the era of World War Two in the South Pacific as they enjoyed the show’s award-winning score with songs such as “Some Enchanted Evening”, “I’m Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa My Hair”, “Happy Talk”, “There is Nothing Like a Dame” and “Bali Hai”.

The thoroughly professional production highlighted some incredibly talented students from Year 9 through to Year 12.

The combined school’s orchestra also gave outstanding performances.
