Toowoomba’s most iconic pub and local favourite, The Spotted Cow, reopened under new ownership on Saturday, December 5.
Now owned by Hallmark Group, The Spotted Cow is set to welcome locals, families and tourists back to the ultimate place to celebrate ‘til the cows come home – whether that be in the gaming lounge, TAB area and Sports Bar, watching your favourite sport live over a schooner of beer or at the steakhouse with the finest meat straight from local paddocks to plate.
‘The Cow’ has proudly served Toowoomba for more than 120 years and Hallmark Group Director, Scott Hempel, was eager to reopen the much-loved venue just in time for the silly season. “The Spotted Cow has undergone some revamping over the last few months, and we are so excited for locals to rejoice in the reopening of a venue they already know and love,” Mr Hempel said.
“Having grown up in the Darling Downs, I certainly have fond memories at The Cow – a place where you could sink a schooner, yarn with a neighbour and feel that genuine sense of community spirit. We are looking forward to welcoming the community back and will uphold The Cow’s reputation by continuing to provide the best classic pub eats, TAB, gaming lounge, live sport and entertainment in the Darling Downs region,” he said.
Hallmark Group has introduced a delicious new modern menu crafted by head chef, Linton Smith who was previously head chef at The Norman Hotel Brisbane, and note that the venue will continue to provide the warm country hospitality for which it is known. True to the venue’s local charm, The Spotted Cow will feature warm interiors, an impressive gaming lounge and a welcoming smile, while offering the best of sport viewing, hearty meals, and TAB in the Darling Downs region.
