Pittsworth State High School’s Captains are Bonnie McKinlay and Pat McGinn.
Bonnie is an active member of the school and wider community involving herself in a variety of sporting, cultural and academic endeavours. She has engaged with The Rotary Adventure in Citizenship, Canberra, The Queensland Youth Parliament and is a member of the Toowoomba Regional Youth Leaders. Bonnie received the 2017 University of Southern Queensland Excellence Award in Academics along with Geography and Modern History subject awards. Her natural leadership qualities have seen her take the treble of captaincies at Pittsworth Primary, Junior Secondary and now Senior School Captain. Bonnie has a strong sense of humanity and solid work ethic and hopes to study Law and Psychology, whilst becoming a member of the Young Liberal National Party.
Since commencing high school in 2015, Pat has been a central figure in his cohort. He is a sound academic achiever and has excelled on the sporting field. In athletics, Pat represented the Darling Downs region at the State Championships for the 200m event in 2016 and 2017 and currently holds the 16 years 100m record at Pittsworth State High School. In Rugby League, Pat has played in three State Carnivals, culminating in Under 15 State selection in 2017. He has attained a Certificate III in Sport and Recreation through the National Rugby League and is working towards a Certificate III in Fitness at school. After school, Pat intends to follow his rugby league dream whilst completing an apprenticeship to become a qualified tradesman.
