Jana Dela Cruz holds the honour of being College Captain of St Saviour’s College for 2018.

So far, Jana has enjoyed the role greatly, striving to be the voice of the student body and building herself into an inspiration for her fellow students. She hopes to maintain a consistent representation of the school within the community, embarking on this endeavour last year by volunteering in outreach groups like Toowoomba Rosies, and getting involved in the College’s Youth Ministry team. Jana is also heavily invested in strengthening student wellbeing on campus, being involved in the school’s Interact Club as the current Vice President, as well as being Student Representative Council President.

Since starting at St Saviour’s in Year 8, Jana has shown dedication to her studies, and has also been an active member of the basketball team. After high school, Jana plans to continue her studies, hoping to become a doctor and eventually a neurosurgeon, volunteering in organisations such as the Mercy Ships. Jana has finished a Head Start course on Human Anatomy and Physiology, cementing her desire to continue on this career path.

A well rounded student and leader, Jana also enjoys creating visual art, reading books (particularly classic literature), and admits to a healthy dose of Netflix binging – in the school holidays, of course. She also enjoys travelling, seeing the world and learning new languages.
