St George business woman and mother Emily Martin is inviting the public to the launch of her new book The Gift – Finding Strength Within When you Need It Most in Toowoomba and St George on the 22nd and 23rd of February.
Almost one year ago, Emily sustained multiple serious injuries including physical injuries, memory and sight issues and acquired brain injury in a life-threatening accident, during a morning ride with two friends. “My outlook on life will never be the same,” Emily said.
The Gift documents her incredible story of finding strength to tackle the ongoing challenges which arose from living with her acquired brain injury and acts as a case study providing others facing adversity with the nine signature strengths she believes are essential to creating a well-lived life.
The St George launch will take place Monday 22 February, 5pm at Riversands Vineyard, 66 Whytes Road, St George. The Toowoomba launch is scheduled for Tuesday 23 February, 5pm at Park House Café, 92 Margaret Street, Toowoomba.
All members of the public are invited to attend, with profits from the sale of her book going to the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) and the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit, (BIRU) Princess Alexandra Hospital.
