Exciting opportunities for the Maranoa Region were a hot topic at TSBE’s final Enterprise Evening of 2019 in Roma on November 21. Around 100 people gathered at the Big Rig for a chance to enjoy a night of networking and to discuss upcoming opportunities for the region.
Guests on the night got to hear a regional update from Cr Cameron O’Neil, who is the Portfolio Chair for Facilities, Airports & Events Economic Development & Advocacy for the Maranoa Regional Council. Cr O’Neil is passionate about the future of regional Queensland and discussed the diversification of the industry bases, including the agriculture, tourism and education sectors.
Cr O’Neil outlined the upcoming council works and what potential opportunities these may present, highlighting the Big Rig and Saleyards developments and exciting opportunities in the education space.We also heard from Sarah Tincknell, Land Access and Approvals Manager for Spring Gully, Denison and Pipelines Asset for Origin Energy who shared some of the upcoming opportunities for the Maranoa region.
