Toowoomba Turf Club begins the search for a new Chief Executive Officer following the resignation of long-term leader Blair Odgers. As one of the most popular thoroughbred race tracks in Queensland, the Toowoomba Turf Club hosts more than 45 meetings per year at its Clifford Park home.

TTC Chairman Kent Woodford said the Club was sad to see Mr Odgers leave, “Blair made many significant contributions for the betterment of the Toowoomba Turf Club. We are very sad to see him go but wish him the very best for his next chapter. Pakenham Racing Club is very lucky to secure his services.”

Mr Odgers has taken up the role as CEO of the Pakenham Racing Club which has become the fastest growing racing club in Victoria. “We are thrilled that the Toowoomba Turf Club has produced another racing administrator that is moving on to bigger and better things. We are very proud that one of our own has learned his craft here and will do incredible things for Pakenham,” Mr Woodford added.

The TTC now turns its sight on the next club leader to uphold the long history of being one of Australia’s leading provincial race tracks. The new CEO will work with the Management Board to provide the best outcomes for the club, the members and the local community. “We have had some significant changes at the club over the last few months, I want to assure our valued Members, sponsors and supporters that this is a positive step forward to the club,” Mr Woodford said.

The TTC soon provide an update on the replacement process for the Club CEO role.
