The University of Southern Queensland (USQ) celebrated 50 years as a higher education institution and 25 years as a University on Wednesday, 1 February. The University marked the milestone with a reunion of USQ Council members, former Vice-Chancellors and Chancellors in the Refectory at USQ Toowoomba for a special morning tea, and an all-staff celebration later in the day with a cutting of the anniversary cake. This will launch a year-long birthday celebration for the University with a number of special events planned across USQ’s three campuses in Toowoomba, Springfield and Ipswich and at its Queensland College of Wine Tourism at Stanthorpe.
