Applications are now open for the first Alumni-only Graduate Employment Program offered by the University of Southern Queensland.

The Graduate Employment Program will be run as a pilot program for 12 months and offers three full-time Associate Evaluation Officer positions. Of the three positions, one identified position has been created for an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Graduate of USQ. The successful candidates will work within the Academic Quality Unit, which is part of the university’s Academic Transformation Portfolio.

Professor Lyn Alderman, Dean (Academic Transformation) said applicants were eligible for the positions if they held a Bachelor or Postgraduate degree from the University of Southern Queensland and hade graduated in the last three years. “The Academic Transformation Portfolio plays a critical role in the development and implementation of University-wide initiatives with the goals of strengthening education quality, learning and teaching, digital innovation and the student experience,” Professor Alderman said.

“There’s no particular discipline or degree we’re looking to recruit from as the ideal evaluation team is cross-disciplinary, from health to science to business to education to engineering to psychology and everything in between. As part of the Academic Quality Unit, successful candidates will be conducting a range of daily activities such as reporting, conducting research and evaluations. The positions support evidence-based decision making about the curriculum offered at USQ, so it’s incredibly important and interesting work.”

Professor Alderman said the pilot program was a commitment to USQ graduates, and an investment in the future of the University and the wider community. Recruitment for the three positions will be open until August 7, 2021, and the positions can be based in Toowoomba or Springfield. For further information, register for an information webinar or to apply, visit here.
