Clifford Park, the home of the Toowoomba Turf Club, is making it easier than ever to purchase tickets for the 2018 Audi Centre Toowoomba Weetwood Races, opening a Weetwood Pop Up in Toowoomba’s CBD for the two weeks leading up to the race day on Saturday 7 April.
The Weetwood races is a historical event, running for more than 128 years. The 2018 event is set to take another momentous step, transforming from a local race day to a national event. The event will showcase some of the best racehorses in the country, ranging from raising two and three year old track stars to seasoned gallopers vying for Weetwood and Toowoomba Cup honours.
Toowoomba Turf Club Chief Executive Officer Blair Odgers said the club was excited to have a “CBD presence” for Weetwood.
“Call in and see our friendly team at 416 Ruthven Street, right near the Heritage Bank building. All ticketing for Weetwood events are on sale online, but we’re all about providing a convenient CBD location to purchase your event tickets,” said Mr Odgers.
“You can purchase tickets to Audi Centre Toowoomba VIP Dining – inside our brand new, glass-walled, air-conditioned Clive Berghofer Grande Atrium. It’s a great place to spend race day, trackside and in ultimate comfort.”
Mr Odgers says he is excited about the menu for guests in the AVIP Dining and JJ Atkins Reserved Members’ Dining precincts at the races.
“We’re showcasing some our very best local product for our guests. We’ve partnered with Oakey Beef and also SunPork Fresh Foods and can’t wait to produce some amazing plates.”
Tickets available for purchase at the Weetwood Pop Up Store include general admission, UBET Weetwood Calcutta Sportsman’s Lunch, Audi Centre Toowoomba VIP Dining, The Event Group Birdcage, JJ Atkins Members’ Reserved Dining, and Gold Class Grandstand.
“We encourage anyone in the CBD that is pressed for time to visit our Pop Up Store for their ticketing – it’s all about convenience.”
