The Toowoomba Turf Club (TTC) has announced that admission fees will be waived for Clifford Park’s 2017 Winter Racing Series on Monday, 29 May.

Local residents will no longer have to pay the $6 ticket fee to attend the races during the winter months of June, July, and August.

“We are also offering free hot soup and hot chocolate to racegoers in our bistro, main bar, front lawn and deck areas on race nights — something nice and warm on a cool Toowoomba evening,” said Chief

Executive Officer Blair Odgers.

“We’ll also be lighting up the outdoor fireplaces each Saturday afternoon to help keep patrons warm.”

TTC Chairman Kent Woodford announced additional exciting events that will take place alongside the races during this year’s Winter Racing Series.

These including the screening of State of Origin: Game Two on Clifford Park’s big-screen inside the Wippells Autos Grande Marquee, the annual Family Fun Day on

Sunday, 2 July, and the ‘Christmas in July members’ dining event on Saturday, 22 July.

“For punters, there is the UBET Second Chance Draw, where losing tickets can be filled in and put into a barrel to win a share in $100 UBET vouchers each race event,” said Woodford.

This much-loved event by punters and locals alike will begin on Saturday, 3 June and continue through August, 26 Friday.
