The 2021 Greater Downs Women in Business Awards was celebrated at an exclusive Winners Luncheon in Toowoomba in June. Leading business women, community activists and agribusiness leaders from from across the entire Downs region attended the celebration lunch. Awards Laureate Catherine Ardi from Excavation Equipment gave a empowering speech on women in leadership prior the announcement of the awards. Greater Downs Woman in Business of the Year laureates from the past five years 2017-2021 were presented with awards by WIBAA Executive Director Karen Phillips. David Janetzki MP, Member for Toowoomba South, Deputy Leader of the Opposition, Shadow Treasurer Shadow Minister for Investment and Trade Toowoomba Regional Council Councillor Nancy Sommerfield attended the event, pictured here congratulating the winner of both Agribusiness Award and the highly coveted Greater Downs Woman in Business of the Year Sally Rigney from Rigney Rural.
