The HumeRidge Church of Christ community has farewelled Senior Pastor Dale White and his wife Wendy after 21 years of ministry.

Pastor Dale, 55, led his last service on Christmas Eve and reflected on his journey over the past 21 years. “Wendy and I started at HumeRidge as a young family – with three children aged between three and eight – with great hope and energy,” Pastor Dale said. “We have continued to serve to the best of our ability and have made many deep and long lasting friendships here,” he said.

Member for Toowoomba South David Janetzki MP thanked Pastor White for his immeasurable contribution to our community. “Senior Pastor Dale has led HumeRidge through two decades and is a deeply respected figure in our community,” Mr Janetzki said.

Pastor Dale noted a number of highlights over the past 21 years including 590 people baptised, the congregation doubling in size to about 1000 people attending Sunday services, the staff team growing from four to 20, the construction of a 1500 seat auditorium, and branching out to the wider community. Pastor White has been a minister for 31 years and is looking forward to taking on a variety of roles next year including serving on the board of Churches of Christ Queensland, teaching theological students and the mentoring of leaders. Husband and wife team Murray and Caz Holmes from Victoria will take over the ministry at HumeRidge.
