Western Downs Regional Council has partnered with the Red Bull Holden Racing Team to launch its new supercar on Sunday 6 January. The free family fun day will take place at the Dalby Airport and features an icon of Australian motorsports, Craig Lowndes, who will drive the brand new 2019 Commodore Supercar.

Western Downs Regional Council Mayor Paul McVeigh said hosting the launch is a great thrill for the people of the region. “Motorsports is hugely popular on the Western Downs and I know people will be really excited to see Craig Lowndes behind the wheel of the new Red Bull Holden Racing Team car. This is exactly the kind of event that makes the Western Downs such a great place to work and live,” Cr McVeigh said. “What a great way to start the new year! Put it in the diary now to bring the whole family along – there’s a DJ and barbecue as well as the Red Bull Holden Racing Team race transporter.”

The Red Bull Holden Racing Team is very excited to hold the launch in Dalby, bringing the car to the fans and supportive community. Local fans will have the opportunity to meet Craig for autograph signing as well as a barbecue with music, giveaways and plenty of fun for the whole family.

Craig Lowndes is especially excited to launch the new car in Dalby to begin 2019. “I’m really excited to start 2019 by launching the new Red Bull Holden Racing Team livery in the heart of Queensland. Launching the new season in Dalby, with the amazing support of the Western Downs Regional Council and meeting the community there will be a great start to the year.”
