The Quilt and Craft Expo at Laidley Spring Festival is ready to showcase some of the best quilts in South East Queensland from Thursday 6 to Saturday 8 September.

Displayed in the Laidley Uniting Church, visitors are welcome to amble through, soaking up the colours, patterns and themes of the spectacular quilts. There are a number of stalls in the hall and along the veranda, where people demonstrate their crafts and share their skills with the visitors, such as jewellery making, card making, folk art, leather flowers, novelty children’s wear, wood turning, dolls, lace making and patchwork. Alongside the demonstration of skills, visitors will also have the opportunity to buy some unique items from the expo. In the grounds, there will be displays of vintage cars, trucks, tractors and machinery.

The Uniting Church will likewise offer demonstrated crafts for sale and The Courtyard Café – a huge dining area with a menu for both morning and afternoon tea and lunch, offering great services and a comfortable rest area.

The Laidley Spring Festival is regarded as the leading event in the Lockyer Valley. Across the three days the community groups and associations work together to warmly welcome visitors across Queensland and interstate to celebrate the beauty of the region.
