Super Butcher Managing Director and LNP Senate candidate Susan McDonald inspired more than 160 guests with her career anecdotes and insights at a Professional Women’s Network Breakfast hosted by St Margaret’s Anglican Girls School on Thursday, 21 March. Raised in Cloncurry and the daughter of a well-known grazing family, Susan is a strong advocate for agriculture and the regions. She spoke of her realisation early on in her career of the profound gender imbalances in the workforce, particularly in the upper echelon roles. She urged the women and students in the room to stand up and take on these roles and hoped that the future leaders in the room would come across mentors who are “gender blind” much like herself.
