Swing into the winter season with an afternoon of smooth jazz at Irvingdale’s own Jazz in the Gardens at Meadowbank Gardens, Irvingdale on June 3.

Held annually, the Dalby Regional Arts Council’s Jazz in the Gardens offers a relaxing afternoon in tranquil surrounds. Take your family and friends to stroll through the enchanting Meadowbank, a four hectare country garden situated on the bank of the picturesque Myall Creek.

Treat your senses to a selection of jazz, influenced by Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bobby Darin and Louis Armstrong.

There will be sways inspired by Tony Bennett, Kurt Elling and Harry Connick Jr, and tunes from the likes of Diana Krall and Michael Bublé.

Settle in to enjoy the dulcet tones of jazz, performed by the Alison Bryant Quintet, featuring the Toowoomba Jazz Ensemble, with vocalist Greg Bird, Alison Bryant on keys, Paul Hendon on sax, Camillo Lanzafame playing the bass and Mark Nuss rocking out on drums.

A quaint café is set amongst the established trees where patrons may also purchase scrumptious cakes, and tea and coffee for morning and afternoon tea.

Profits raised on the day will be kindly donated to the LifeFlight Foundation – Australia’s largest air medical retrieval operator providing treatment to thousands of people across the country.

Tickets will be available at the gate or pre-purchase at FSD Pharmacy in Dalby. www.dalbyartscouncil.com.au
