Enthusiastic, welcoming and determined, the Assumption College 2019 student leadership team is focused on achieving their common goals of participation, belonging and dedication throughout the year.

The four College Leaders include Amy Harrison for Culture, Taylah Hoffman for Academic & IT, Nathaniel Ryan for Faith & Social Justice, and Jack Duggan for Sport. Amy Harrison lives by the words, “Effort matters more than skill and talent.” She has encouraged her fellow students to try something new and participate in this year’s school musical, Legally Blonde Jr. Amy hopes to study Primary Special Education Teaching to give back to the profession that has given her so much.

Taylah Hoffman has won the Lions Youth of the Year Public Speaking Award and was speaker for the Warwick Eden Gardens ANZAC Day Service. She spreads the message, “Striving for success without hard work is like trying to harvest where you haven’t planted.” She aims to embue a culture where students work collaboratively.

Nathaniel Ryan is proud of his leadership position this year and his participation in the Confraternity `Confro’ Carnival last year. Leading by example, he hopes students treat others in the way they would like to be treated, as he works towards one day running his own cattle station in Central West Queensland.

Grit and determination drive Jack Duggan. He is also the Confraternity Team Captain this year, aiming to change the stereotype that only ‘sporty’ people can participate in sport. He hopes to pursue a football career after school.
