William Purcell is the Senior Prefect at Toowoomba Grammar School, appointed to the position after positive recommendations from both the teaching staff and the student body.

Will epitomises the classic all-rounder. He is an extremely intelligent and hard working student and a very talented athlete. In his academic program, Will studies English, Mathematics B, Mathematics C, Physics, Chemistry and Modern History. He hopes to pursue tertiary studies in Medicine after completing Year 12. In sport, Will has represented the School in the Open First XI Cricket team as a batsman and the Open First XV Rugby team. He has also swum for the school, played football (soccer) and run in the GPS sporting competitions. Will has found that his sporting involvement has developed his leadership skills and provided good grounding for his ability to work effectively in team environments. Outside of school, Will is a very keen water skier.

In addition to academic study and sporting involvement, Will is an active member of Toowoomba Grammar School’s Interact Club. Here he has been involved in numerous charitable pursuits. He has also volunteered at Highfields State School, cooked barbecues for Rosies Friends on the Street and participated in Relay for Life Cancer Council. Toowoomba Grammar School is extremely pleased to have students such as Will Purcell contributing to its culture and success.
