Susan Zammit and Joel Watson are known for their much-loved hair business, Joel’s Barbershop, in central Toowoomba. The duo has now opened a premium combined super hair salon in Eastville Shopping Centre featuring Joel’s Barbershop and a new hair business, Mosta Hair.
The super salon optimises opening hours to enable shift workers, parents, and those needing a haircut early in the morning or late at night to access the service they need. The salon comprises a main reception area that welcomes clients and then leads them through to salons on either side – the women’s salon, Mosta Hair, and the men’s salon, Joel’s Barbershop.
“We are incredibly excited and looking forward to welcoming everyone to our new salon. It is the first of its kind in Toowoomba. In fact, I don’t think I have seen anything like it in Australia either,” Ms Zammit said. “Our new salon is all about delivering the highest quality service and the best luxury experience possible – while also offering optimised opening hours so people who can’t get to a salon during the day due to other commitments can have their hair done early in the morning or late at night.
The new salon decor has been designed to whisk customers off to the Mediterranean. Fixtures and fittings have been handpicked to create a stunning Maltese theme. Customers will be treated to a stunning menu of complimentary exquisite mocktails along with other beverages and nibbles. “We want to provide a level of luxury and comfort that people have not experienced before. Our new salon is a game changer for Toowoomba,” Ms Zammit said.
The new business will employ some 16 people and open from 7am until 9pm on most days to meet the needs of shift workers, busy parents and those who need flexibility with their time availability.
