Toowoomba Turf Club (TTC) has announced Lizzy King as the Club’s new Chief Executive Officer in November, 2019. Ms King is an internal appointment after following a highly-competitive selection process. Ms King has worked at the Club’s Business Development and Marketing Manager for almost four years. She has an extensive media background of over 20 years. In her most recent role she was the radio host on 4GR’s The Big Breakfast radio program.

TTC Chairman Kent Woodford said “Lizzy King had performed exceptionally in her role. Her passion, existing professional relationships with our corporate and industry stakeholders and deep understanding of how our club operates, made Lizzy the stand-out applicant.”

Ms King said she was thrilled and humbled by this appointment “I’m excited for this new challenge and am honoured to take on the CEO role. The Toowoomba Turf Club has a rich, proud history in Toowoomba and I’m thrilled to work with the TTC Management Committee to ensure a strong future. The Club has seen some significant changes over the past 12 months, including the announcement of the shift for Weetwood to Spring 2020, the new management committee, and facility improvements – all of which are key steps to a bright future”.

Ms King assumes the CEO role effective immediately, taking the reins from former Chief Executive Blair Odgers.

Mr Woodford said he expected the transition of management to be smooth and “I will take this opportunity to thank Blair for his service over five years and wish he and his family the best with their new opportunity at the Pakenham Racing Club”. The Toowoomba Turf Club continues to work towards providing the best outcomes for the club, the members and the local community.
